Expanded program for TCR, TC and TCA

SAN JUAN, PR – December 2, 2020 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – VGMC is expanding again!  VGMC will be moving their TCR program over to IMSA Michelin Pilot Series after 2 successful years in TC America.  They will be taking Ruben Iglesias who competed in the “TC” spec type R in TC America’s TC Class to Co-Drive with Victor Gonzalez Jr.   “We are excited after our first test with Ruben in the TCR class he adapted quickly and expect him to have an breakout season” commented Victor Gonzalez Jr after their first test in prep for their 2021 assault on the IMSA championship.

Ruben Iglesias who will be a rookie in IMSA but has done a full year of racing a Honda Civic Type R in TC America also has set some top speed records in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.  Ruben is the principle of Fiebruz Motorsports and holds a ½ mile speed record in Puerto Rico in a GTR that went 232 mph!

Honda/HPD has expanded their customer racing programs and our small but mighty team from Puerto Rico is up to the challenge and we will compete in IMSA and SRO – TC America with some exciting new driver’s” states Victor Gonzalez Jr TCR driver and partner in the VGMC program.

Jonathan Newcombe had a great rookie year in Pro Racing with VGMC he finished on the podium 3 times and finished 5th in the Championship in TCA.

VGMC is excited to announce additional drivers to the team soon and will continue to work hard with the Puerto Rico and USA based team with the cars to be based out of St Cloud, FL.

The VGMC team will continue with support from Fiebruz Motorsports, Elite Motors PR, Tolsen Tools and More, Magic Logistics, Performance Euro Oils, Motul USA, and Borinken Marine Group
